Information on the processing of personal data pursuant to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
We have drawn up this privacy policy in order to explain to you, in accordance with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 and applicable national laws, which personal data we process, will process in the future, and what lawful options you have as a visitor to this website.
Privacy policies usually sound very technical. This version, by contrast, aims to describe the most important points to you as simply and clearly as possible. Where possible, technical terms are explained in a reader-friendly way. We would also like to convey that we only collect and use information via this website where there is a corresponding legal basis for doing so.
If any questions remain, we kindly ask you to follow the links provided and view further information on third-party sites, or simply send us an e-mail. You can find our contact details in the imprint.
When you visit websites today, certain information is created and stored automatically — this also happens on this website. While you are visiting our website right now, our web server, for reasons of operational security and to compile access statistics etc., generally stores data automatically, such as:
in files known as web server log files. As a rule, these files are stored for two weeks and then automatically deleted. We do not pass on this data, but we cannot rule out that this data may be viewed by authorities in the event of unlawful conduct.
Our website uses HTTP cookies to store user-specific data. In the following we explain what cookies are and why they are used, so that you can better understand the following privacy policy.
Whenever you surf the internet, you use a browser. Most websites store small text files in your browser. These files are called cookies. HTTP cookies are small files that are stored on your computer by our website. A cookie consists of a name and a value. Cookies store certain user data from you, such as language or personal page settings. Cookies are not software programs and do not contain viruses, trojans or other “malware”. Nor can cookies access information on your PC.
Four types of cookies can be distinguished:
You decide for yourself how and whether you wish to use cookies. Regardless of which service or website the cookies originate from, you always have the option to delete, deactivate or only partially allow cookies. You can find the relevant settings in your browser settings.
The so-called “Cookie Directive” has existed since 2009. It stipulates that storing cookies requires your consent. In Austria, this directive was implemented in Section 96(3) of the Telecommunications Act (TKG).
Personal data that you transmit to us electronically on this website — such as your name, e-mail address, postal address or other personal details provided when submitting a form — is used by us, together with the time and IP address, solely for the respective stated purpose, kept securely and not passed on to third parties.
We therefore only use your personal data for communication with those visitors who expressly request contact, and for the handling of the services and products offered on this website. If you send us personal data by e-mail, we cannot guarantee secure transmission and the protection of your data. We recommend that you never transmit confidential data unencrypted by e-mail.
Under the provisions of the GDPR, you are in principle entitled to the following rights:
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law, or that your data protection rights have otherwise been infringed, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Data Protection Authority, whose website you can find at www.dsb.gv.at.
In the following privacy policy we inform you about whether and how we analyse data from your visit to this website. The analysis of the collected data is generally carried out anonymously, and we cannot infer your identity from your behaviour on this website.
We use HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure stands for “secure hypertext transfer protocol”) to transmit data tap-proof over the internet. By using TLS (Transport Layer Security) we can ensure the protection of confidential data. You can recognise the use of this safeguarding of data transmission by the small lock symbol at the top left of the browser and by the use of the scheme https (instead of http) as part of our internet address. This is how we comply with data protection by design (Article 25(1) GDPR).
We use Google Maps from Google Inc. on our website. For the European area, Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) is responsible for all Google services. With Google Maps we can show you locations more effectively. Through the use of Google Maps, data is transmitted to Google and stored on Google's servers. This includes, among other things, the search terms entered, your IP address and the latitude and longitude coordinates.
Google's servers are located in data centres all over the world; most are in America, which is why your data is also increasingly stored in the USA. You can find more about data processing by Google at policies.google.com/privacy.
On our website we use Google Fonts from Google Inc.; for the European area, Google Ireland Limited is responsible. To use Google fonts you do not need to log in or store a password, and no cookies are stored in your browser. The files (CSS, fonts) are requested via the Google domains fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. Through this external request, data — including your IP address — is transmitted to Google's servers. Google stores requests for CSS assets for one day, and the font files for one year. More information at developers.google.com/fonts/faq.
On our website we use software to analyse the behaviour of website visitors, in short web analytics. In doing so, data is collected which the respective analytics tool provider stores, manages and processes. With the help of the data, analyses of user behaviour are created. Your IP address is generally stored in pseudonymised (i.e. unrecognisable and shortened) form, so that you cannot be identified as a person.
👥 Data subjects: website visitors · 📓 Data processed: varies depending on the provider · 🤝 Purpose: evaluation of visitor information to optimise the web offering.
Insofar as you consent to this or it is permitted by law, we send you newsletters, e-mails or other notifications. Registration is carried out using the “double opt-in procedure”: after your registration you receive an e-mail via which you confirm the registration. As a rule, the time of registration, the time of registration confirmation and your IP address are stored. The dispatch takes place on the basis of your consent. You can cancel your subscription at any time — usually via an unsubscribe link directly in the newsletter.
We use the Meta Pixel (formerly Facebook Pixel) from Meta Platforms Inc. on our website; for the European area, Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland) is responsible. With the Meta Pixel we can measure the effectiveness of our advertisements on Facebook and Instagram, recognise visitors to our website (remarketing) and optimise our ads for relevant target groups.
Consent: The Meta Pixel is loaded and activated exclusively if you have expressly consented to the “Marketing” category in our cookie banner. Without your consent, no data is transmitted to Meta. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer.
When the pixel is active — depending on your actions on the website (e.g. page view, contact, submission of a form) — information such as your IP address, browser/device information and the triggered events is transmitted to Meta and processed there. A transfer to third countries (in particular the USA) cannot be ruled out; for this, Meta relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
The legal basis for the processing is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can find more information on data processing by Meta in the data policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy and on cookies at facebook.com/policies/cookies.
